Cost center statistics include beds, days, square feet, gross salaries, total costs and total charges. Cost centers include inpatient routine services, ancillary services, outpatient services, and other reimbursable cost centers.
General service costs include direct salaries, other costs, and paid hours. This report is extremely useful in comparing departments across multiple facilities and understanding the departmental components of a hospital's ratio of costs and charges.
